Hossam Hassan has been presented as El-Masri manager for the second time after Talaat Youssef's sacking, according to the club's official website.
El Masri club immediately named Egypt legend Hassan after firing Youssef following a disappointing 2-0 defeat by league debutants Dakhlia on Saturday.
The 45-year-old will be assisted by former Masri star Tarek Soliman, while his twin brother Ibrahim will consider as a football director post.
Hassan, Egypt's all-time leading goalscorer, had previous duration at Masri, Telecom Egypt and Zamalek before taking the responsibility of Ismaili for a quick time.
He kicked off his managerial career with an unsuccessful spell at Masri before being eventually sacked by the coastal club in 2009.
Masri lie seventh in the league table on 19 points from 12 games.
