Egypt’s CAN 2013 qualifier against Central African Republic has been moved from February 29 to June 30 due to the recent unrest in the country.
Assistant coach Diaa Al-Sayed confirmed that the FA’s request to postpone the game has been accepted by CAF, following this month’s disastrous incident at Port-Said Stadium.
The news means that Egypt will play four games in June, including the double-header against Central African Republic.
The Pharaohs will meet Mozambique on June 1 in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, before facing Guinea a week later.
