Ahmed hussam " mido " lost the round of thirty two 1st stage match, that watched Zamalek acquire a slender 1-0 direct through the Ivorian champions and is set for another spell out.
“Mido is continuing to have difficulties with a back issue and the administration has decided to drop him from the squad travelling to Abidjan,” Zamalek assistant coach Ismail Youssef said.
At the same time, striker Amr Zaki is probably going to be fit for the return battle after being ruled out of Egypt’s two friendlies with Uganda and Chad.
