Meteb starts rehab as Ahli suffer Rabeia blow

Ahli striker Emad Meteb will require 3 days of treatment to be able to get back complete fitness as a result of his marriage, while little one Rami Rabiea has suffered a serious back problem, the Reds said.

Best scorer Meteb has been on a 10-day vacation and has just went back to Cairo on Monday as Ahli resume their league campaign on December 22.

Egypt missed the chance of automatic qualification for the 2012 Olympics after losing 3-2 to Morocco in the CAF U-23 Championship semi-finals.

Egypt aim to get through tight U-23 CAN group

Two semi-final places are up for grabs in the very tight Group B, with Ivory Coast, Egypt, South Africa and Gabon all keeping their chances of qualifying alive.
