El Ahly



History:
El Ahly Club is an Egyptian Club located in Cairo includes a lot of sports, the most important is the football " soccer ", El Ahly has been established in 1907 specifcally in A pril by Mitchel Ince, El Ahly is the most known club in Africa and the most crowned club there with 35 Egyptian League titles and the same number with the Egyptian cup.

in 2000 El Ahly has been named as " The African Club of the Century " by CAF.

in the middle of the last century specifically from 1940 the Club began to dominate all the competitions which gave the advantage to dominate the game by winning a lot of the Egyptian league titles, the eighties of the last century the Club went so far to achieve 2 continental titles in 1982 and 1987 by winning the African Champions League in Its old look.

the beginning of this century the club was on time with more and more of titles and trophies, winning the Champions league in 2001 then 2005 and followed by 2006 then 2008 under Manuel Jose laadership who was like the hero for the club by achieving more titles and crowns in a lot of champions 6 Egyptian league titles in row and 4 Egyptian Cups, then being the 1st club to go to the World Cup of the Clubs plus achieving the bronze medal in 2008, plus being the only club with the most appearance in the World Cup for Clubs by 3 qualified times in 6 helds.

The Club Presidents:
  1. the 1st president was Omar Gold Pasha he began from April 1906 until April 1908.
  2. the 2nd president was Karim Azizi Pasha he began from April 1908 until February 1916.
  3. the 3rd president was Khalid Fadl Pasha he began from February 1916 until February 1924.
  4. the 4th president was Mohab Abou-El Dahab Pasha and he began from February 1924 until July 1940.
  5. Mohamed Pasha Taher was the 5th president he began from July 1940 until February 1941.
  6. the 6th president Jaafar Pasha Wali he began from February 1941 until January 1944.
  7. Ahmed Pasha Hasanain was the 7th president he began January 1944 until February 1946.
  8. the 8th president Ahmed Pasha Abboud he began from February 1946 until December 1961.
  9. the 9th president was Salah Eldine El-Desouky he began from December 1961 until December 1965.
  10. Colonel General Abd El-Mohsen Mortagy was the 10th president he began from December 1965 until July 1967.
  11. the 11th president was Dr. Ibrahim Kamel El-Wakeel from July 1967 until November 1972.
  12. then again Colonel General Abd El-Mohsen Mortagy was the 12th president from November 1972 until December 1980.
  13. the 13th president was Captain Saleh Selim he began from December 1980 until December 1988.
  14. the 14th time was for Mohamed Abdou Saleh El-Wahsh to be the Club president from December 1988 until February 1992.
  15. then Saleh Selim came back again to take the leadership in his 2nd time and to be the prsident number 15 and he began It from February 1992 until May 2002.
  16. then the current president Hassan Hamdy number 17 he began from May 2002 until now.
