The Egyptian Police Will Not Secure Ahly Game

Cairo Authorities are not going to protect Ahly’s Champions League match with Ethiopian Coffee on April 8, the Egyptian champions said.

Ahly said they was given a notification from the Cairo Cops HQ Refusing to take the final 32 return stage in Cairo because of ‘absence of safety situations and circumstances set by the police management’.

Authorities continue firm in carrying top level games in Egypt after the Port-Said tragedy which stated the lives of much more than seventy-seven fans following Ahly’s league match at Port-Said.

Just couple competitive games were held after the black accident on Feb . one, with Ahly’s Cairo competitors Zamalek hosting Young Africans and Africa Sports in the back of closed gates.

Ahli announced last month that they aren't keen to play Champions League home matches with no fans, but they are at the moment likely to rethink the main problem.

“We'll rethink our variations and the board will decide soon,” Ahly football manager Sayed Abdul-Hafiz said.
