Hassan wants to earn Egypt berth

Ahmed Hassan is determined to earn a deserved call-up to the Egypt squad, rather than staking a claim upon the request of fans.

The Zamalek veteran is only one international match away from becoming the world’s most capped player, which prompted interim coach Hany Ramzy to include him in his young squad for recent games against Sierra Leone and Niger.

But Hassan, who scored five goals in seven games for his new club, is looking forward to retain his role as the captain of Egypt by proving himself on the pitch.

“My performance and form with Zamalek should keep me with the national team, if it happened,” the 36-year-old told FilGoal.com.

“It shouldn’t be because of people’s requests to include me. Thanks to all those who want me to be in the team to achieve a personal goal, but I believe that decision should be technical.”

Egypt assistant coach Diaa Al-Sayed indicated recently that new manager Bob Bradley does not intend to rule out veteran players in the process of rebuilding the team.

On the other hand, Hassan insisted on several occasions that he is not planning to end his Egypt career in the near future.

We will not allow Al-Hadary to take part in the Brazil game

the Sudanese Club leaders Merreikh declared that they are not willing to release Essam Al-Hadary for coming international game ahead of Egypt’s friendly game with Brazil.

The Egypt Goalkeeper number one has a lot of problems with his current club " Merreikh ".

“We will not allow Al-Hadary to take part in the Brazil game,” Merreikh President Gamal Al-Wali was said.

“How could we give an undisciplined player the opportunity to represent his country in such a historic match? I am really surprised with the decision to recall him.

“We saved him from ending his career or getting a heavy ban after the problem he had caused with Ahli, and then what has he given us in return? Only more trouble.”

Merreikh shouldered most of the fine imposed against Al-Hadary in the wake of his infamous departure from Ahly to Sion back in 2008.

The 38-year-old keeper has been far from settled in Khartoum this year, and he asked to transfer on more than once.

He eventually incurred the wrath of his employers, with chairman Al-Wali vowing to make him the team’s fourth-choice goalkeeper.

Razak will not join in Smouha

Zamalek could play without Benin striker Razak Omotoyossi when they meet Smouha away from home in the Egyptian league on  the next Thursday.

The 25-year-old - who joined the zamalek club in the close season - was absent from training for three continuous days after travelling home to see his ill wife.

But according to Zamalek assistant coach Ismail Youssef, there was flight problems which delayed Razak’s return as he was supposed to arrive on Monday night.

“The player apologized to me on telephone for not reporting back to training on time,” Zamalek’s Coack Ismail Youssef Said.

“He was expected to be named in the squad for Smouha game, but due to his absence for a week of the trainings , he might not join the squad.”

“We’ll assess him when he comes back before making the final decision.”

Razak has only played just one game with Zamalek since he joined the club in the summer, featuring for over 70 minutes in the 3-1 win over Military Production.

He has been at the center of a contractual dispute with the club’s board, which saw him miss the team’s first two games against Ghazl Mahalla and Gaish.

With Mido and Hussein Hamdi injured and Omotoyossi doubtful, Zamalek coach Hassan Shehata could only have Amr Zaki and Ahmed Gaafar as the only fit and recognized strikers at his disposal.
